The new figures looked at the health of older urban populations in each country and compared them to each other, as well as the national average in each respective country.

Ireland was one of eight EU member states with over 50% of elderly urban populations living in good health, at 66%.

Following Ireland was Sweden (64%) and Belgium (60%).

On the opposite side of the table was Lithuania, where only 11% of urban elderly are in good health. Latvia was followed by Lativa (15%) and Portugal (21%).
