The German flag carrier will fly a new route between Belfast City Airport and Frankfurt four times a week, with the first flight taking off Monday gone.

It is now the only route connecting Northern Ireland to Germany, due to other flights to the country being dropped.

Frankfurt is Germany’s business capital, and its airport is one of the busiest in the world.
