Following a vote at Dublin City Council's annual meeting on Monday night, Fianna Fáil Councillor Daith de Róiste has been chosen as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin.
After Caroline Conroy of the Green Party steps down, Cllr. de Róiste will take over as the city's 355th Lord Mayor.
At the age of 26, Councillor de Róiste was elected to the council to represent the Ballyfermot/Drimnagh region.
