Props from the performance will be among the artifacts on exhibit at the Home of Derry Girls, which debuts tonight at the Tower Museum Derry.

The city has already benefited from the show’s success by offering various tourist attractions, such as the Derry Girl mural on Orchard Street, walking paths, and afternoon teas with a Derry Girl theme.

Four adolescent girls and "a wee English fella" are followed as they grow up in Derry during the 1990s in the Channel 4 television series Derry Girls, which debuted in 2018.

It follows the buddies as they navigate adolescence in the wake of the Troubles' last years.

The museum will be funded by Tourism Northern Ireland and Derry City and Strabane District Council and will also include some sets from the show to give everyone an immersive experience.
