As part of the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival, about 1,500 people descended to Mullaghmore in Sligo on Sunday night for LUXE The Seas Above. It was a lavish costume, processional, and fire sculpture display.
The Seas Above, a newly commissioned performance by LUXE, was a stunning lit event that took place in Mullaghmore at dawn on Monday and at sunset on Sunday as part of the festival's opening weekend.
The Seas Above is a new event from the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival in association with the Earagail Arts Festival and is made possible by a Festival's Commission Award from the Arts Council of Ireland.
Nine days of outstanding art in structures, on the streets, and in enchanted outdoor settings are featured at the Cairde Sligo Arts Festival. Performing arts, circus, visual art, literature, and family-friendly entertainment.
The Cairde Sligo Arts Festival runs from July 1st through July 9th with a jam-packed schedule.
