After Kerry's remarkable All-Ireland quarterfinal victory against Tyrone at Croke Park on Saturday, David Clifford received accolades for his understated and elegant interview with GAAGO.

After a subdued first half, the Fossa club player came alive in a masterful second half, the highlight of which was an incredible assist that helped Kerry score his second goal.

With three Tyrone defenders coming in, Clifford collected the ball on the sideline, spun, and threw a superb pass to Tony Brosnan all in one motion. After Brosnan's ball divided the Tyrone defenders, Sean O'Shea calmly slid past Niall Morgan to put an end to the game as a battle.

Clifford joined Marc O'Sé, Paddy Andrews, and Michael Murphy of GAAGO to discuss Kerry's performance after the game. The just pass came up, and Clifford explained to the judges what an amazing skill it was.

Clifford said: “I don't know, I didn't have a great day with the kicking, so it was nice for something to come off. I had a fair idea that Brosnan was free”.

His modest comments have given the Kerry footballer a lot of praise since the piece of skill shown during the match was out of this world.
