The Giant's Causeway draws tourists from all over the world because of its distinctive look. Nearly 60 million years ago, volcanic activity produced this magnificent monument, which is located at the base of the basalt cliffs along the Atlantic coast on the edge of the Antrim plateau.

Stories of the legendary Irish giant Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn McCool) utilising the hexagonally shaped stones as a bridge to Scotland were first sparked by the almost 40,000 black basalt columns rising out of the water.

With around one million tourists passing through each year, The Giant's Causeway is both the sole UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland and its most well-known tourist attraction.
