According to a research of Irish real estate prices for the second quarter of 2023, Dublin is no longer the country’s most costly county to buy a house in. With a median average property price of €425,000, according to data by Geowox, Wicklow is now the most expensive county in the nation.

While property prices nationwide increased overall by 9.7% over the same time last year, the national median average reached €316,000. Dublin's median average was somewhat lower at €424,000.

Ireland's top five most expensive counties were completed by Kildare, Meath, and Cork, with median home values averaging €390,000, €355,000, and €306,000.

With prices ranging from €151,000 to €185,000, Cavan, Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal had the cheapest median home prices.
