The Baxter family-owned Centra on Station Road is where the ticket was bought.

Shop owner Gene Baxter stated the family and employees were shocked and thrilled the ticket was sold in their store on RTÉ's Morning Ireland.

“There's a lot of speculation this morning [about] who is the lucky winner, but we have no clue yet anyway. We're quite happy for anyone who did win, and we wish them the best of luck. We hope maybe a local. Whoever wins it, it's the luck of the draw.” Gene said.

The €4,257,050 jackpot for Wednesday night is being urged upon by the National Lottery, so players are advised to verify their tickets.

Mr. Baxter claimed that although the family-run firm had sold some winning tickets in the past, none for this much money.

According to Mr. Baxter, a lot of people are going through Mohill at this time of year since many people are vacationing nearby.
