Most of us would expect to spend at least five euros for a quality breakfast roll, or perhaps a little more if you got an additional rasher put into it, as the cost-of-living crisis continues. However, one Centra customer in the city was perplexed by the astronomical €8.45 price tag on their morning meal.
The filling 9-piece breakfast roll was photographed. The client claimed that the deli neglected to add one of the ingredients when they ordered two eggs, sausages, pudding, bacon, and hash browns.
Dublin consumers received the shock of their lives when they discovered they had been charged an enormous €8.45 when they arrived at the register.
The huge roll, according to the man, was “decent” in quality but not quite worth the price. “I originally ordered two eggs, sausage, and bacon pudding, but I believe they forgot to include one. As a result, the price should have been much higher had they included bacon.
“Was decent but not very expensive. Sad times, in fact.”
The image of the roll was also posted on Reddit, where several users noted that the cost of breakfast rolls is rising. Ah boys the boom is back, someone remarked. For a breakfast roll, €8.45?
Someone else said, “The boom is definitely back.”
