The centre just released a schedule of performances and events that are likely to delight all viewers.
The conclusion of a trilogy of solo performances by renowned theatre artist Mikel Murfi, performed in a rotating repertory, is one of the highlights of the season. This follows the Centre’s massively successful musical Good Vibrations, which finished its five-week run with a sold-out audience last Sunday.
The Irish Arts Centre’s Fall schedule includes more than 40 in-person and online seminars, regular café concerts and other events. With its brand-new theatre, the organisation can offer its patrons a wide variety of performances and experiences.
The Man in the Woman's Shoes and I Hear You and Rejoice, two of Murphy’s prior productions, earned favourable reviews from both audiences and reviewers. The artist now makes a comeback with The Mysterious Case of Kitsy Rainey, the trilogy's concluding volume, which will be released from October 24 to November 18.
Dana Lyn and Kyle Sanna will perform a score of live contemporary folk and traditional music for Seán Curran Company and Darrah Carr Dance's Céil. Other activities planned for the cutting-edge facility include Women of Note, which Aoife Scott has organised as two concerts bringing together talented female musicians who specialise in Irish trad, folk, and roots music with their counterparts from throughout the world.
Additionally, Nick Laird's 14th Annual PoetryFest will take place. There will also be more seminars and activities, as well as a showing of the Irish short film An Irish Goodbye, which won an Oscar.
