Wesco offers supply chain, logistics, and business-to-business distribution solutions.

As part of its wider digital transformation strategy, the company stated its new Dublin site will act as a development hub for fresh cloud-based digital systems and solutions.

IDA Ireland is supporting Wesco's expansion into Ireland.

Wesco's Chairman, President, and CEO, John Engel, stated that he anticipates WDS Ireland would serve as a catalyst for the company to further utilise technology in order to transform and improve the value it provides to clients globally.

According to him, "We are thrilled to hire talented software development, engineering, and data analytics professionals in Ireland who will have a rare opportunity to help accelerate the digitalisation of our business."

The Wesco CEO added, "We are appreciative of the advice, assistance, local knowledge, and resources IDA Ireland has offered to us to help stand up this new operation.

"We are impressed with the investments being made here to build a thriving community for advanced technology jobs in the region," he continued.

IDA Ireland CEO Michael Lohan, demonstrates the talent Ireland can provide businesses in the field of cloud development and helps the nation maintain its leadership position in the digital revolution.

Wesco's new Dublin facility, according to Minister of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment Simon Coveney, would concentrate on developments in cloud-based digital technology.

"The facility will also generate up to 80 skilled employment in a variety of fields, such as engineering, technology, and administration. The city will benefit greatly from this news, said Mr. Coveney.
