In the satirical dark comedy, Woody Harrelson, who starred in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, will play Oscar-winning actor Jay Conway, alongside Andy Serkis as English director Leigh Carver and Dublin-born performer Harland as Northern Irish playwright Ruth Davenport.

The three characters will start rehearsing for a new play that has the potential to change each of their careers. However, when it becomes apparent that they are not on the same page, “the night threatens to spiral out of control.”

Ireland, a playwright from Belfast, will preview the play on December 4 at London's Riverside Studios before it premieres on December 13 and runs until January 28.

“I'm thrilled that this rollercoaster of a play has gathered such a stellar roster of talent to join us for this pitch-black comedy at the beautifully renovated Riverside Studios," said director Jeremy Herrin.

“I've always liked David Ireland's courage and his ability to mock pretentiousness in all of its forms.”

“It's a privilege to bring Woody Harrelson to London, to welcome Andy Serkis back to the stage after his enormous success in the movies, and to watch the wonderful Louisa Harland go head-to-head with them both.”

It'll be an exciting evening, and I'm looking forward to seeing how our audience responds to this powerful performance.

Harland's previous cinematic appearances include the Channel 4 series Derry Girls, where she portrayed Orla McCool opposite Irish actresses Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, and Nicola Coughlan. In 2017, Harland featured in Oscar-nominated actor Harrelson's feature film Lost In London.

Ulster American had its Edinburgh debut in 2018 at the Traverse Theatre, where it later won the Scotsman Fringe First Award and the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award.

Through its collaboration with Tickets For Good, Second Half Productions has announced that 200 complimentary tickets for the next performance would be made available to NHS employees working in west London.

Priority booking begins on October 10 and regular sales start at 10 a.m. on October 12.
