These actions have included the organisations senior management being reorganised, as well as a pledge to improve transparency and guarantee excellent corporate governance.

The Department of Media provided Morning Ireland with figures that indicate these actions have not yet altered the forecast for TV licence fee revenue.

A 37% drop from 55,704 over the same time previous year.

45,440 TV licences were bought in September 2022 as opposed to 66,281 in September 2022, a 31 percent decline.

161,237 TV licences were sold between July and the third week of October 2023, compared to 245,146 over the same period in the previous year—a decrease of 83,909 or 34%.
