Wearing essential items from the men's Versace Icons line, the 47-year-old, who starred as American theoretical scientist J Robert Oppenheimer in the biographical war drama, will lead the campaign.
It will be Murphy's debut ad for the Italian luxury fashion brand, and it will launch internationally on April 3.
“I am thrilled that Cillian is joining the Versace family. He is a truly exceptional actor and totally deserves his Oscar win. He is magnetic and mesmerising in front of a camera, and I loved seeing him bring Versace to life,” said chief creative officer Donatella Versace.
Stylist Rose Forde, who worked on Murphy's look throughout the movie's press tour and award shows, told Vogue that it was a throwback to the label's history. She remarked, “We looked at a lot of Versace references from the 1990s.”
