In commemoration of the 47-year-old actor who won the Best Actor Oscar on Sunday, An Post chose to update the classic green post box.

In the movie “Oppenheimer,” he played theoretical scientist Robert J. Oppenheimer, for which he won an Oscar.

People from the neighbourhood are already stopping to snap photographs next to the “Cillian Murphy Best Actor Oppenheimer” post box.

In addition, An Post wrapped a post box on Dublin's O'Connell Street in gold to commemorate Element Pictures' success in making “Poor Things.”

Emma Stone received the Best Actress Oscar, one of the film's four Oscar victories.
