Mr. Burrito on Drumcondra Road Upper, already one of Dublin's best spots for Mexican food, took home the title during a grand ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

In the midst of Dublin's burrito mania, Mr. Burrito opened as the first Mexican burrito restaurant on the north side of the city in 2017.

In addition, they have huevos rancheros, churros, quesadillas, tiny burritos, milkshakes, smoothies, and chimichangas.

Co-owner Paddy Sheridan told Dublin Live, “We were notified that we had been nominated by The Food Awards Ireland 2024 a few weeks ago. Four eateries from Dublin, two from Galway, and two from Cork faced us.”

“When you put seven years into your business, one hundred percent dedication, this is what you deserve. We are overwhelmed with excitement.

"We are now planning to deliver our quality Mexican food at various different locations in the near future. We would like to thank all our customers for their continued support throughout our journey.”

The seventh edition of the Food Awards honours exceptional eateries, cafés, producers, and business owners across Ireland's greatest culinary locations. The winners of the competition are determined by a public vote and are organised by Creative Oceanic.
