Originally from An Spidéal, a Gaeltacht village in Galway, Ms. Seoige is a fluent Irish speaker. She began her broadcasting career with TG4 after graduating from University College Galway and has since worked with various networks including TV3, RTÉ, Sky News, and Virgin Media, hosting a range of news, current affairs, and entertainment programs.
Expressing her commitment to the constituency, Ms. Seoige said, “As a proud Connemara woman, this area is more than just where I’m from—it’s part of who I am. My experiences here have shaped me, and I’ve carried that Galway identity with me around the world. I’m ready to work hard for everyone in this community.”

She emphasized the importance of addressing challenges such as housing, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rural development, which she says are vital issues for people of all ages in Galway West.
