H&M has expanded its store size from 11,887 square feet to 15,192 square feet by combining two locations on the ground and first floors.
The facility now boasts a 98% occupancy rate after the shop negotiated a fresh ten-year lease. Cushman & Wakefield and Bannon are the letting agents.
Bannon claims that the experience at Athlone Towncentre is indicative of the current state of the market since well-managed, performing assets are still outpacing sales in comparison to previous years, and the view for 2025 is optimistic.
"With an eye-catching and varied retail mix and nearly full occupancy now, the next few trading weeks to Christmas promise to be very busy," said Jennifer Mulholland, director at Bannon.
"We're anticipating increased footfall and that commercial activity will make a significant contribution to the local economy," she stated.
