Following a management buyout by Michael O'Donnell, who is currently the company's managing director, Solarfix has obtained equity capital from Whiterock.
In Northern Ireland, Solarfix has installed over 2,000 solar systems, including grid systems set out in fields and sizable commercial projects on tall buildings.
The business thinks the money would enable it to install its equipment and grow operations "further afield." It states that the significant investment will "help reduce energy bills for domestic and commercial customers and expand its offering."
"We are very grateful to our current clients, who have been very supportive of our business, helping us to drive growth naturally and leading us into new markets," stated Michael O'Donnell, managing director of Solarfix.
“We are excited to work with Whiterock to further invest in providing energy solutions for the commercial market throughout the UK and Ireland, building on our dominant position in the domestic market.”
Whiterock's growth capital fund completed the equity investment, while the British Business Bank's Investment Fund for Northern Ireland provided loan financing for it.
