The 22nd annual IFTA Awards Ceremony, held at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre on February 14, will reveal the winners. With 17 nominations, including Best Film, Acting, and Directing, Kneecap is the front-runner in the film categories.

Other well-known films include Spilt Milk and The Apprentice, which each received four nominations, Kathleen Is Here, which received seven, and Small Things Like These, which received nine.

Say Nothing received ten nominations in the television drama category, followed by Bad Sisters with eight and The Dry and Bodkin with seven each.

This year, a new casting award category is being introduced to honour the efforts of casting directors in Ireland. Maureen Hughes for Small Things Like These, Emma Gunnery for Baltimore, and Lucy Amos and Nina Gold for Say Nothing are notable finalists.

The presentation of Colm Meaney's Lifetime Achievement Award, which honours his decades-long contributions to the Irish and global film industries, will be a highlight of the evening.

The 2025 nominees were hailed as "an incredible showcase of skill and talent" by Academy CEO Áine Moriarty, who also emphasised the ongoing brilliance of Irish storytelling, acting, and filmmaking.

Irish and foreign celebrities will attend the event to honour the successes of Ireland's film industry. In the upcoming weeks, more information will be released, including the Rising Star nominees, guest presenters, and ceremony host.
