A large mass of Saharan dust is making its way to Ireland following the high-pressure weather system over central Europe. This phenomenon, rarely experienced in Ireland, will bring an eerie atmosphere to the skies above.
With the forecast of rain on the cards and combined with the Sahara dust in the air, it is expected that 'blood rain' will fall as well as leave cars covered in dust.

Well I’m afraid you’ll need to do it again this weekend coming as plenty of Saharan dust moving over us today and tomorrow and rain tomorrow could bring it down to lower levels. pic.twitter.com/qyrxv0haNh
