The supermarket behemoth launched the new technology in response to the positive feedback received from its initial self-checkout setup in Monread, Naas, Co Kildare. T
The following Co Dublin shops will have many of these experimental checkouts: Sallynoggin, Newlands Cross, and Coolock.
Self-service checkouts will be implemented in 16 more stores located in the counties of Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Kerry, Cavan, and Clare over the months of June and July.
Customers will be able to make contactless and cash payments at the new terminals. The new self-service tills will be used in conjunction with the current manned checkout lines.
