Two million euros will be spent on rehabilitating Talbot Street's pavements, adding more lighting, and enhancing the street's appearance overall. According to Dublin Live, work is expected to start on Monday, June 10, and run for about 20 weeks.

The roadways and walkways will be upgraded first, then on Monday, traffic control will be implemented. Dublin City Council plans to maintain local vehicle and pedestrian access to commercial and residential buildings.

The Dublin City Council stated: “We are asking the local businesses and property owners to work with us during these important works and support and engage with us. There may be some disruption during this period.”

“After we improve the streetscape, we also expect that you will contribute to the long-term appearance of your buildings and the maintenance of the outside of the establishment.”
