On Tuesday morning, eight men and nine women were detained following 10 searches conducted by Gardaí. They are currently being held at a Garda station in Dublin. This brings the total number of arrests related to the November 23rd events in Dublin to 49.

The violence erupted after a five-year-old girl was severely wounded and two other children were injured in a knife attack at Parnell Square.


An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to anyone with information about the events of that day, or anyone involved in organizing or participating in these events, to contact the Garda investigation team at Store Street Garda Station at 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.


Thirty-four people were arrested at the time of the riots. This marks the sixth supplementary arrest linked to the investigation.
