Before the era of TV talent shows, hundreds aspired to fame, but only five working-class Dubliners would be fortunate enough to rise from obscurity and be catapulted into the global limelight.

For the first time in 30 years, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, and Michael Graham open up in rare and exclusive interviews for the three-part Sky documentary series, Boyzone.

Sharing their personal experiences as members of a band that sold over

25 million records worldwide, they speak candidly about the true cost of

global fame and how they coped with its challenges.

As they seek to close a significant chapter of their lives, they

confront the strained relationships and tragic events that have left a

lasting impact on their lives, families, and friendships.

The Sky Original series, produced by Curious Films, features

contributions from Stephen Gately’s sister Michelle, his former partner

and pop star Eloy De Jong, and their estranged manager Louis Walsh,

along with never-before-seen archival footage from the group’s early

days.

This documentary delves into the pivotal moments that defined Boyzone,

highlighting the highs and lows of global stardom.

The series also explores the intense tabloid pressure that forced

Stephen Gately to publicly come out and the devastating tragedy that

struck the band after their sensational 2007 comeback, when Stephen

passed away—a loss the remaining members have struggled to fully

overcome.

JD Buckley, CEO of Sky Ireland, remarked, “As one of the most beloved

boy bands of the 1990s, Boyzone’s music has resonated with Irish fans

for over three decades.

“Beginning with five young men from Dublin, they have paved the way for

Irish artists.

“With exclusive access to Ronan, Shane, Keith, and Mikey, we are excited

to bring this new series to our Sky and NOW customers, offering a

glimpse into their remarkable journey like never before.”
