Employees say that store managers have put PID360 devices—manufactured by security experts Deter Tech—at many high-risk sites in Manchester, Bristol, and Newcastle.

Promotional materials claim that the PID 360 is a potent deterrent to intruders on your property because of its eye-catching appearance, auditory alarms, and LED illuminators.
"It meticulously records each activation, and our committed staff quickly examines the video and reports any instances of unauthorised presence."
The video guard gadget, which is mostly employed by businesses and on building sites, emits a 114-decibel "Star Wars-style" warning noise and flashes lights when it detects an intruder.
A few seconds later, a man with a thick Northern Irish accent yells, “Warning, this is security, your presence has been detected, the owner and police have been informed.”
