According to the groups, their goal is to assist PSNI staff in developing inclusive practices throughout the service for both neurodivergent members of the public and team members.

"We are really happy to have worked in partnership with Autism NI to deliver these videos, taking our lead from them on good practice," stated Superintendent Finola Dornan, chair of the Police Autism Support Group.

"The webinar modules focus on understanding and responding to the needs of autistic members of the public while on duty, as well as how to build an inclusive workplace for autistic staff members across the organisation," Chief Constable Jon Boutcher said in response to the training video series.

It gives me great pleasure to introduce this series to all officers and staff in Northern Ireland," said Kerry Boyd, Chief Executive of Autism NI. This course, which was created especially for the Northern Ireland Police Service, focusses on useful and significant changes that the agency may implement to increase service accessibility and equity.

It's wonderful to see the PSNI's dedication to helping both the organization's autistic employees and the general public. The webinar launch represents the next phase of our continuing, fruitful collaboration with the PSNI, which has already lasted more than a decade.
