The company, which currently operates 38 services stations across 17 countries, aims to grow through a mix of new site developments and strategic acquisitions.
As part of its 2024 rollout, Corrib Oil will open at least four new service stations this year. The first of these, located on Model Farm Road in Cork, is set to open this month, creating 30 new jobs. The recruitment for a variety of roles has already begun, including store management, retail positions, operations, supply chain, logistics, and head office support functions.
Furthermore, Corrib Oil is also making strides in the quick-service restaurant industry. In November 2024, the company secured an agreement to become the first Irish franchise to partner for Wendy’s, a popular US fast-food chain. Over the next two years, 10 Wendy’s restaurants will open across the country, and some of these will be standalone locations, while others will be integrated into existing Corrib service stations.
“We have been growing our retail footprint over recent years, reflecting our firm focus on meeting the fuel, retail, and service station needs of communities”, Eugene Dalton, CEO of Corrib Oil, emphasised the company’s commitment to growth and community service.
“This expansion programme fast-tracks that growth further”, he concluded. Corrib Oil’s ambitious plan will reinforce its position as a leading service station and energy provider while also contributing to job creation and economic development throughout Ireland.
