Simon Harris urged drivers to slow down as the bank holiday weekend approaches.


“We must act as individuals, communities, and as a nation to reverse the current trend and save lives,” he said. “The Government will do its part by implementing the necessary measures, but we need the cooperation of every driver across the country.


“As the August bank holiday weekend nears, I’m asking everyone to reduce their speed, avoid using phones while driving, and never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs. By taking these simple but crucial precautions, we can save lives and protect each other.”
