The landlord Lotus Property filed a notice requesting complete planning approval for a 23,000 square foot, 21-lane bowling alley.

The attempt to turn the western portion of the cheap shopping park outside of Banbridge into a 60,000 square foot "food and entertainment quarter" will begin with this. stated Lotus Property.

Late in the upcoming year, Hollywood Bowl and Omniplex Cinema are scheduled to open.

Lotus Property stated that it anticipates receiving planning approval in the first part of 2019 and that construction will begin in the summer.

Hollywood Bowl, which now has 72 locations around the UK, will open in Belfast's Odyssey in 2022.

"Welcoming Hollywood Bowl to The Boulevard is an exciting moment in the scheme's history as it triggers a multi-million pound redevelopment to create a 'food and entertainment quarter,'" stated Alastair Coulson, managing director of Lotus Property.

"The Boulevard is already a well-liked family destination, and the addition of Hollywood Bowl and the wave of new food and beverage tenants we anticipate will help it evolve into a compelling day-to-night choice for patrons."

The Boulevard said that, with sales in 2023 up 8% from the previous year, it had recently achieved its highest commercial result since launching.

"We're excited to announce our intention to open a 21-lane bowling alley and family entertainment centre at The Boulevard - our second location in Northern Ireland following our launch here two years ago in Belfast," stated Laurence Keen, chief financial officer of Hollywood Bowl Group.

“The brand performs extremely well across the UK offering an affordable contemporary entertainment experience for families, and friends to come together for fun games, enjoy food and drink and really make a day of it.

"We are encouraged by The Boulevard’s strong performance and are looking forward to joining the solid roster of tenant brands on site, welcoming customers keen to make the most of the scheme’s retail and leisure mix.”
