These products, available for a limited time while stocks last, are part of a wider selection of over 100 Kickstart products to be stocked in Lidl’s 222 stores across Ireland. The range includes a variety of sustainable, health-conscious, and restaurant-quality food options to enjoy at home.
From Strangford Coffee and SLICED’s Oatco Overnight Oats to Cloughbane Farm Shop Meals, Mrs. K Global’s Diggity Sausages, and Lecale Harvest’s Slow Cooked Confit, the new lineup offers something for everyone.
The range also features a selection of delicious sauces and condiments like Blackfires Hot Sauces and Lecale Harvest’s Smoked Sundried Tomato Tapenade.
Highlighting Northern Ireland’s rich apple orchards, the Kickstart range includes Longmeadow Irish Craft Cider, Armagh Cider Company’s Spiced Apple Punch, and Symphonia Irish Apple Gin from Woodlab Distillery in Co Tyrone.
Lidl’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting families in eating better for less is also evident in this year’s Kickstart range. Fitness-focused customers can enjoy protein-packed options like Bertie’s Bakery’s Protein Rolls and Brioche Muffins, Rosie’s Banks Nutrilean Protein Pancakes, and Green Fingers Family’s natural, gluten-free, plant-based Energy Balls from Co Antrim.
Kate O’Driscoll, Supplier Development Manager at Lidl Ireland and Northern Ireland, commented on the launch: “Today marks a significant milestone for our Northern Irish Kickstart suppliers, as their products hit the shelves in our 42 stores, with many set to reach our full network of 223 stores across Ireland.
“After six months of collaboration with our in-house experts, focusing on scaling production, improving efficiency, and receiving guidance on product development, branding, and packaging, our suppliers are now equipped for success. They now have the opportunity to reach over 2 million weekly customers across Ireland, giving them a significant boost in the competitive supermarket sector.”
Lidl Northern Ireland remains dedicated to supporting local producers. Alongside its established network of over 60 suppliers, the Kickstart Supplier Development Programme aims to nurture small and medium-sized producers. Since its launch in 2018, over 50 innovative local products have been showcased through the Kickstart initiative.
Esther Paul, Business Development Manager at Armagh Cider Company Ltd, a family-run business participating in the programme, said: “Being part of Lidl’s Kickstart programme has been a tremendous boost for our business. The seminars and mentoring sessions were invaluable as we aim to expand into new product lines and markets. However, the most significant impact will come from having our products available to Lidl’s extensive customer base across Ireland.”
