In August, brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed the long-awaited reunion of the Britpop band with a worldwide tour set for 2025, declaring, “The great wait is over.”

Ashcroft, known for writing the 1997 hit Bitter Sweet Symphony, expressed his excitement in a statement: “As a fan from the very beginning, I was thrilled for many reasons when I heard Oasis was returning.

“I can honestly say Noel’s songwriting talent and Liam’s raw energy as a frontman inspired me to create some of my best work. The perfection of Live Forever pushed me to write my own songs. They dared to be great, made our dreams a reality, and I’ll always remember those days with joy”.

“Now it’s time to create more memories, and I’m ready. See you next summer. Music is power.”

On Monday, both Oasis and Ashcroft’s official X accounts shared a video featuring footage of Ashcroft and the Gallaghers over the years, set to The Verve’s track Sonnet.

The brothers will reunite to play major venues, including Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park throughout July and August next year.
