Seamus Neville, a native of Wexford, is the owner of Neville Hotels, which also owns the Royal Marine in Dublin, Druids Glen in Wicklow, and the Ravenport Hotel in Wexford.
Dalata sold the Wexford Maldron Hotel to the Neville Park Hotel Group earlier this year for an undisclosed amount.
According to Dalata, the current share buyback program, which was launched in October, is returning nearly all of the net proceeds from today's transaction and the sale of Maldron Hotel Wexford to shareholders.
With its Clayton and Maldron brands, the hotel firm is the top hotel operator in Ireland, and it stated that it is still dedicated to the Irish market and portfolio.
It is anticipated that the Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford sale will be finalised in January. The hotel group received transactional advice from Savills.
The Clayton Whites Hotel Wexford has played a vital role in Dalata's journey, according to Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata Hotel Group. "I am certain that the hotel will continue to thrive as a part of Neville Hotels because it has a strong management team in place and a track record of excellent performance.
“Our current focus is on facilitating a seamless and constructive transition while supporting our colleagues throughout this time of change.”
