Along with new community, cultural, and open spaces, Coolock's tSrúill on Cromcastle Road will have 133 affordable rental units and 13 social homes.
Dublin City Council owns the 1.7-acre property, which is situated across from the Northside Shopping Centre and next to Beaumont Hospital on Cromcastle Road at the intersection of Oscar Traynor Road and Kilmore Road.
Along with fresh landscaping, a public plaza, and green spaces to improve biodiversity, the development will also include apartments, public open spaces, and communal services. The development's contractor, Bennett Construction, has been hired and is currently on the job site.
The Land complex Agency's Chief Executive, John Coleman, stated: "We are excited to begin building on this 146-home complex. The finest quality tSrúill is being provided in a first-rate, well-served location that is conveniently close to all local facilities and services.”
“It would greatly enhance the current neighbourhood by bringing in new public areas and pedestrian paths, as well as much-needed affordable rental and social housing.”
