The development along Fortfield Road has been the subject of a new planning application.
Terenure College and the Carmelite Order possess the land, which has been judged surplus to their future requirements.
There will be 284 residences total—19 houses and 265 apartments—in the overall plan. Apartment buildings will vary in height, with a maximum of six stories.
All of the homes will have four bedrooms and two to three stories. Ten studios, 117 one-bedroom, 129 two-bedroom, and nine three-bedroom apartments will be among the residences.
The Carmelite Order, which has granted authorisation for the use of the lands inside the present Terenure College site, has welcomed the development. According to them, there will be sufficient land left over for the school's future growth and operations.
The development will also include a communal culture and arts area, a creche, and residential amenity spaces.
Additionally, a separate application has also been made to South Dublin County Council to upgrade Fortfield Road and College Drive to a four-arm signalised intersection.
There will be 165 resident parking spots available. There are 14 motorbike places and 633 bike spaces included in the designs. Permission for a prior, larger application for the site was denied.
