Scale Ireland, an independent, non-profit organisation that represents Irish tech start-ups and scaling businesses, will host the event.

The possibilities and difficulties faced by start-ups and growing businesses nationwide will be the main topics of discussion at the summit. More than 45,000 people are employed by more than 2,000 Irish-based tech start-ups and scaling businesses.

Scale Ireland's fourth "State of Start-ups Survey" was released in advance of the summit to gather CEO and founder perspectives on the major concerns impacting them and the industry as a whole.

These include regulatory concerns, manpower and skill requirements, AI potential, and funding availability. At the same time as the regional meeting, the survey findings will be released.

"With the formation of a new Government, our fourth Regional Start-up Summit is very timely," Scale Ireland CEO Martina Fitzgerald stated.

"Given the significant global changes taking place, the new government needs to ensure that regional innovation and entrepreneurship are prioritised," added Fitzgerald.

Google, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), Bord na Móna, Enterprise Ireland, Atlantic Bridge, Research Ireland, and Technological University of the Shannon are all supporting the conference.

According to Vanessa Hartley, Head of Google Ireland, "The Regional Start-up Summit is an important event to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing this sector in Ireland."

"We know that Artificial Intelligence has the potential to drive transformative economic growth, with generative AI alone projected to contribute up to €45 billion to Ireland's GDP over the next decade," said Ms Hartley.
