As part of a complete track renewal, the Connolly to Grand Canal Dock line will be closed from December 26 to January 5. For the first time in 20 years, the line—which sees just under 100,000 train movements annually—will be rebuilt. Similar work was done during the holidays of 2004 and 2005.
With few exceptions between Pearse and Grand Canal Dock, the line will be blocked between Connolly and Grand Canal Dock throughout this period.
