The so-called ‘Showdown in Las Vegas’ takes place amid ongoing negotiations to finalize a merger between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, with both sides seemingly receptive to the idea.

The event will be broadcast on TNT Sports, though coverage start times have yet to be confirmed. In a sign of the times, ‘The Showdown’ will award the winner their prize money in cryptocurrency, with the amount reportedly set at a minimum value of $10 million.

The 18 holes will be divided into three six-hole matchplay contests, mirroring the Ryder Cup format. The opening six holes will feature the fourball format, where all four players play their own ball. This will then transition to foursomes for holes seven through 12, where each team plays one ball, with players alternating shots. The final six holes will consist of two singles matches.

The event will kick off at 11pm (Irish Time).
